I/We ( referred to as The Buyer(s)) agree to the following terms.

Pet ownership is a serious commitment that the entire household needs to consider and agree to before any puppy is adopted. Legend Dairy Berners wants to ensure that each adoptive household is aware of, willing to, and able to accept the responsibilities of pet ownership.

Buyer(s) agree(s):

1. To provide annual veterinary examinations for the Berner.

2. To spay/neuter the Berner at age recommended by your veterinarian.

3. To keep the Berner up to date on annual rabies and parvo vaccinations.

4. To keep the Berner up to date on monthly heartworm prevention.

5. That s/he WILL NOT surrender the Berner to any animal shelter or Rescue organization of any kind for any reason.

6. That s/he WILL NOT rehome the Berner without the express consent of Legend Dairy Berners.

7. To train and socialize the Berner throughout its lifespan. All training will be done with positive reinforcement techniques, and not through cruel punishment or abusive tactics.

Legend Dairy Berners:

Provides a 1-year health guarantee that does not cover any issues arising from accidental, circumstantial, or neglectful care. Only health problems that can be proven to be solely genetic and will result in a greatly reduced quality of life and/or lifespan will allow for a replacement puppy of equal value from Legend Dairy Berners. No medical assistance will be provided in the event of such issues. Signed proof of disease must be provided from a licensed veterinarian, along with proof that all preventive care, including, but not limited to: spay/neuter, vaccinations, and annual health checks have occurred.

In the event that the Buyer’s circumstances change during the lifespan of their Berner, Legend Dairy Berners is willing to buy back the dog at a reduced price of $100 to prevent abandonment.

Will allow future owners to visit after four (4) weeks of age, at six (6) weeks of age to pick out their puppy (in order of reservation), and at eight (8) weeks of age to take their puppy home. Puppies must be picked up by eight (8) weeks of age unless previous arrangements are made. We will consider holding the puppy past eight (8) weeks of age for an additional fee of $20 per week. Legend Dairy Berners is not responsible for shipping or delivery of your pup, but may be willing to meet within a reasonable distance.

Provide a limited 1-year health guarantee, first set of shots, deworming at 2, 4, and 6 weeks of age, and LIMITED AKC Registration. Emailed pictures will be provided weekly. Puppy visits will be by appointment only.

Should any concerns arise, Legend Dairy Berners reserves the right to revoke a puppy reservation at any time with a deposit refund.

DECLARATION:

I declare that, to the best of my knowledge, the information given is true and correct. I understand that inaccurate, misleading, or untrue statements or knowingly withholding information may result in termination of any agreement with Legend Dairy Berners. I understand that in addition to a completed questionnaire and a completed puppy contract, a $400 non-refundable deposit, paid to Legend Dairy Berners, is required to secure a puppy reservation via cash, Paypal, or Zelle. This deposit will be deducted from the sale price, but is not refundable (unless termination is by Legend Dairy Berners). The remainder of the sale price is required before the puppy leaves for their new home. I understand that securing a puppy reservation is a listed position based on the “first come, first serve” basis, and unless otherwise agreed by the buyer and seller, no reservation of puppy characteristics is guaranteed.

I agree to ALL of the requirements stated above and promise to uphold these agreements for the lifetime of my Legend Dairy Berner. I agree to pay the remainder of the sale price at or before pick up of my puppy via cash, Paypal, or Zelle.
